My Chia Pet

Image
Have you planted a chia pet?  Planting a chia pet is so much fun because it's like a mini gardening project. It's easy to plant with instant rewards. Let me tell you what I did. After my dad and I bought the Baby Yoda Chia Pet planter kit from Amazon, I quickly read the instructions on how to plant the chia pet. First, I soaked the chia pet planter in a bowl and set the timer on the microwave.   Next, I soaked the chia seeds in the plastic drip tray until they became gel-like. After that, I rubbed the chia seeds onto the planter.  Finally, I watered the chia plant through the planter hole. I waited for two days and noticed the green sprouts growing out. I was so excited!   But, the chia sprouts grew very wildly.  The baby Yoda was covered with green grass. I needed to rescue him.   I used my scissors to trim the plant.  It's funny and playful.

Friendsgiving Dinner

Image
Our family friends visited us from Atlanta on Thanksgiving day. We went to Auntie Lucy's house for   Thanksgiving dinner.  We talked about what we were thankful for.   We had turkey, mashed potatoes with gravy, turkey stuffing, salad, baked yams, Brussels sprouts, and cranberry sauce for dinner.  After dinner, we had cherry pie and apple pie for dessert.    I played with my friends around the fireplace. We had a lot of laughter while we chatted. In the end,  Uncle Terry played music from  Charlie Brown on the piano. I had a wonderful Friendsgiving gathering.

Bike Ride

Image
I'm back home for the Thanksgiving holiday, a week with my family. I'm so excited to have so many activities to do.  On Sunday, I rode a bike to Qurray Lakes near my home with my dad. I t's a sunny day after two rainy days.  The white cloud looked like white cotton candy floating in the blue sky.  The lake is clear blue.   The tree is lovely in many colors, including green.  I smelled the tree bark and sweet  fresh air .  On the bike ride, I saw many people walking with their dogs and pe ople fishing in the lake.  I heard many people talking very loudly on the trail. They must be very excited to hang out with their family and friends.  Many ducks were swimming happily in the lake, and a person was riding an electric boat. I enjoyed riding my bike with my dad in the cool weather, and I enjoyed Thanksgiving break with my family.

Fun at the Renaissance Faire

Image
On Saturday, I went to a Renaissance Faire in Krenery Park, outside of  Fresno.  Many people were dressed up at the Renaissance Faire. I saw some of the people dressed up as knights and pirates. There were some performances at the faire. I heard the cannon go off, and I was scared of the noise. I also enjoyed watching the juggler show at the faire. He was juggling some swords, and I laughed hard with my friends. I ordered a fresh pepperoni pizza from the food stand, where the cashier dressed as a peasant. I enjoyed eating pizza and ordering coffee for lunch.  I bought a cute leather key chain with a unicorn journal design. It is vintage. It made me imagine a medieval lady writing in her journal like this.  I had such a fun time exploring everything at the Renaissance Faire!

Halloween is Super Fun!

Image
Halloween is my favorite holiday!  I always enjoy wearing a costume, decorating the room, and joining fun activities.  On Thursday, I went to a pumpkin patch. I went on the magic carpet ride, the Yo-Yo ride, and the Ferris wheel ride, and I had fun on all of it.   After the rides, I bought a burger and fries. I also drank orange-crushed soda. For dessert, I had a funnel cake with candies. I bought a white pumpkin. I had fun with my friends at the pumpkin patch.   On Friday, I attended a Halloween party at my friend's apartment. We watched Hocus Pocus and ate popcorn and cookies. What a fun night with friends!

Volunteering at the Shinzen Japanese Garden

Image
I enjoy the volunteer activities provided by the Wayfinders. My favorite is the Shinzen Japanese Garden.  I have been there with my family before.  It's beautiful and peaceful. The pond, bridge, maple trees, and Japanese lamppost give me a Zen feel. I like nature so much that   I  enjoy volunteering in this garden.   On Saturday, I volunteered at the Japanese garden again. I helped them rake up the leaves and pull the weeds. The garden looks very clean and organized. For lunch, I had veggie and cheese pizza and drank water with it. I enjoyed   my lunch with my friends.  While cleaning the garden, I saw a peacock walking on the wooden fence and t he koi fish swimming happily in the pond. What a rewarding day!

For dinner, I seasoned the chicken wings with salt and pepper. Then I put them in the air fryer. The chicken wings were very juicy and crunchy. It tasted like home. I enjoyed my delicious feast, and  I ate apples for dessert. I had a wonderful chicken wings feast.
