Two Parties, One Long Weekend

 At noon on Memorial Day, I went to the Ampersand’s block party to have fun.  I went to the ice cream shop with all my friends.  I ordered the caramel with whiskey-flavored ice cream in a cup. I enjoyed my ice cream. And for lunch, I went to a food truck named Spicery Bridrs, and I ordered spicy chicken nuggets with fries and honey B dipping sauce.  After lunch, we walked around downtown Fresno.  My friend Romie and I visited an art gallery store.  My favorite painting was Monterey Trails.  I had a great time at Ampersand’s block party. 


At dusk, I joined the potluck pool party at Palazzo, where I made Mozzarella sticks in my air fryer. I talked to my friends at the pool, and I ate all the snacks they brought with them. I ate the spicy cheese slider from Breadon and corn dogs in a blanket from Samuel. There were also BBQ chips, cookies, and drinks. For dessert, I ate pumpkin pie from Jordan and chocolate rolls from Kenny. It was fun to share food with friends. 



I had a wonderful Memorial Day.

Volunteering at the Shinzen Japanese Garden

 I enjoy the volunteer activities provided by the Wayfinders. My favorite is the Shinzen Japanese Garden.  I have been there with my family before.  It's beautiful and peaceful. The pond, bridge, maple trees, and Japanese lamppost give me a Zen feel. I like nature so much that   I  enjoy volunteering in this garden.   On Saturday, I volunteered at the Japanese garden again. I helped them rake up the leaves and pull the weeds. The garden looks very clean and organized. For lunch, I had veggie and cheese pizza and drank water with it. I enjoyed   my lunch with my friends.  While cleaning the garden, I saw a peacock walking on the wooden fence and t he koi fish swimming happily in the pond. What a rewarding day!

Chicken Wings Feast

 Last week, I cooked the chicken wings in the air fryer.  My dad always makes chicken wings at home. I bought the chicken wings at the store. It is not expensive. For dinner, I seasoned the chicken wings with salt and pepper. Then I put them in the air fryer. The chicken wings were very juicy and crunchy. It tasted like home. I enjoyed my delicious feast, and  I ate apples for dessert. I had a wonderful chicken wings feast.

Chinese New Year Party

On Saturday, I joined my friend Grace's Chinese New Year party. We were celebrating the Year of the Snake. Grace's mom bought Panda Express food for us. I ate orange chicken with fried rice and beef, and I  also ate chow mein. I drank root beer and apple cider. For dessert, we had a delicious chocolate cake.  As a guest, I brought a bag of coconut rice cookies and a bag of sesame cookies.  They are unique for the Chinese New Year. We played  Mario Cart on Nintendo Switch. We played all the games. We watched the lion dance on TV. We laughed together, and we had a good  Chinese New Year Party. I got a lot of red envelopes. I enjoyed the food.  I had a blast at the party.   Happy Chinese New Year, everyone!
