Fresno State Graduation Ceremony

On May 16, I joined the Fresno State graduation ceremony, which took place at Save Mart Center. My parents came to watch the ceremony and celebrate my graduation.  
I graduated with all my friends from the Wayfinders program. I wear a blue dress with flowers. I gave my name card to the staff, who read off my name. The audience applauded. I was happy to receive my certificate on stage. The photographer took my picture holding my red certificate cover. I had a wonderful graduation ceremony this year.

Volunteering at the Shinzen Japanese Garden

 I enjoy the volunteer activities provided by the Wayfinders. My favorite is the Shinzen Japanese Garden.  I have been there with my family before.  It's beautiful and peaceful. The pond, bridge, maple trees, and Japanese lamppost give me a Zen feel. I like nature so much that   I  enjoy volunteering in this garden.   On Saturday, I volunteered at the Japanese garden again. I helped them rake up the leaves and pull the weeds. The garden looks very clean and organized. For lunch, I had veggie and cheese pizza and drank water with it. I enjoyed   my lunch with my friends.  While cleaning the garden, I saw a peacock walking on the wooden fence and t he koi fish swimming happily in the pond. What a rewarding day!

Chicken Wings Feast

 Last week, I cooked the chicken wings in the air fryer.  My dad always makes chicken wings at home. I bought the chicken wings at the store. It is not expensive. For dinner, I seasoned the chicken wings with salt and pepper. Then I put them in the air fryer. The chicken wings were very juicy and crunchy. It tasted like home. I enjoyed my delicious feast, and  I ate apples for dessert. I had a wonderful chicken wings feast.

Chinese New Year Party

On Saturday, I joined my friend Grace's Chinese New Year party. We were celebrating the Year of the Snake. Grace's mom bought Panda Express food for us. I ate orange chicken with fried rice and beef, and I  also ate chow mein. I drank root beer and apple cider. For dessert, we had a delicious chocolate cake.  As a guest, I brought a bag of coconut rice cookies and a bag of sesame cookies.  They are unique for the Chinese New Year. We played  Mario Cart on Nintendo Switch. We played all the games. We watched the lion dance on TV. We laughed together, and we had a good  Chinese New Year Party. I got a lot of red envelopes. I enjoyed the food.  I had a blast at the party.   Happy Chinese New Year, everyone!
